The Scottsdale Area Association of REALTORS® (Scottsdale REALTORS®) supports the Scottsdale Unified School District budget override and Fountain Hills and Paradise Valley school district bonds in the November 2023 General Election.

“We know the value good schools have on homeownership,” said Scottsdale REALTORS® 2023 President Chris Nace. “For every dollar spent on public schools, potential home values appreciate by 20 dollars. Decades of independent research continues to support the correlation of increased home values within higher-scoring school districts. If you value your home, vote YES on the school bonds or overrides in your community.”

Scottsdale REALTORS® supports the following Unified School District 2023 ballot measures for capital improvements and academic programming needs.

  • Scottsdale
  • Maintenance & Operations Override: Renewal at .3288% interest for seven years
Cost to average homeowner: $172.21 per year
Potential home value appreciation: $3,444.20 per year

  • Fountain Hills
  • $25 Bond: 12% or less interest per year; 16 years maturity
Cost to average homeowner: $105.23 per year
Potential home value appreciation: $2,104.60 per year

  • Paradise Valley
  • $340M Bond: Renewal at 10% or less interest per year; 4 years maturity

Potential home value appreciation: $940 per $100K AV per year

Students need access to well-maintained and safe schools. Don’t let our schools fall into disrepair. By directly funding necessary repair and maintenance needs, it reduces the pressure our schools consistently face — choosing between teacher retention or funding emergency facility repairs. Make a wise investment in your community by voting YES on the school override and bonds.
