Silver Sky is a new luxury home enclave being proposed in Paradise Valley.

A luxury home community has received preliminary plat approval from the town of Paradise Valley planning commission.

The last step is getting approval from the town’s city council for the luxury enclave near Invergordon Road and Mockingbird Lane. A vote is expected in mid-February.

If approved, the 17-acre site will be home to 12 custom estate homes nestled against Mummy Mountain. The land was once owned by the Cheney family and has sat untouched for more than 85 years. Called Silver Sky, the community will boast homes ranging between 7,500 and 14,000 square feet, with prices starting around $10 million.

If approved, the new community could be a boon for the enclave which has seen a shortage of ultra-luxury homes during the pandemic. Paradise Valley is one of the top 100 priciest ZIP codes in the nation.

Plans call for starting infrastructure and roadwork as soon as approvals are received, said Gordon Berry, founder of Silver Sky Development LLC.

“We want to start pushing dirt in the second quarter, starting with grading and infrastructure work,” he said. “As soon as we get building permits issued we want to start right away on our showcase homes.”

A health and fitness area, oversized garages to fit car collections and indoor/outdoor living space will be included in all the homes.
