Scottsdale Short-Term Rentals Are Thriving Now

Thanksgiving travel is starting on a strong note for short-term rentals, especially in the Phoenix-Scottsdale market, according to a recent report by short-term rental data provider AirDNA.

Across the country, bookings for the holiday week are currently pacing 7% to 9% above last year’s levels, indicating that families are still prioritizing travel even in a more cautious planning environment, according to press release from AirDNA.

The growth is slightly softer than the roughly 15% lead reported a month earlier, a shift that aligns with the late-September government shutdown, which likely caused some travelers to delay their decisions, the release said.

Still, demand remains firmly positive on top of an already busy 2025 holiday season, giving hosts a solid outlook heading into the final stretch of the year.

Meanwhile, the Phoenix-Scottsdale market is the fourth-most popular Thanksgiving market in the country and it is seeing another solid holiday performance. Booked listings are up 3.7% year over year, supported by travelers drawn to warm desert weather and spacious rentals suited for extended family stays, the release said.

With an Average Daily Rate up 5.2% year over year to $300, the region promises a steady performance for hosts heading into the holiday week, according to the release.
