Scottsdale REALTORS® Backs Winning Ballot Measures, Overrides

The Scottsdale Area Association of REALTORS® (SAAR) successfully backed winning ballot measures and school overrides in final results from the November 5 special election.

SAAR’s support for City of Scottsdale ballot questions was reflected in a 32.10% voter turnout:

  • Question 1 – 69% Approved
  • Question 2 – 67% Approved
  • Question 3 – 73% Approved
  • With this vote, the secondary property tax rate will be $0.28 per $100 of net assessed valuation.

SAAR’s support for the SUSD M&O budget override was reflected in a 30.41% voter turnout:

  • Question – 62% Approved
    With this vote, the secondary property tax rate will be $0.38 per $100 of net assessed valuation.

SAAR’s support for Paradise Valley USD questions was reflected in a 27.32% voter turnout:

  • Question 1 – 63% Approved
  • Question 2 – 56% Approved
  • With this vote, the aggregate tax rate will remain at approximately $171 per $100K of the assessed valuation of a home.

SAAR supported the ballot measures as they promote overall quality of life for our community without increasing secondary property taxes. Endorsement of the school overrides reflects the association’s policy platform which states that communities flourish when they offer good schools.
