The Scottsdale Area Association of REALTORS® (SAAR), Phoenix REALTORS® and Southeast Valley Regional Association of REALTORS® (SEVRAR) have announced joint support of a ‘YES’ vote to extend the 2019 Scottsdale Unified School District (SUSD) Maintenance and Operations Budget Override.
In addition, SAAR and Phoenix REALTORS® have endorsed the Paradise Valley Unified School District (PVUSD) Bond and District Additional Assistance Override as the district overlaps into boundaries for both associations.
This historic endorsement of our public schools by the three REALTOR® associations speaks to the importance of strong schools in our communities. Together, these local trade groups represent more than 32,000 REALTORS® and affiliated real estate professionals.
REALTORS® across the Valley are proud to share industry statistics such as the National Bureau of Economic Research findings which state that investing in public schools helps protect property values.
Since 2015, composite ACT (American College Testing) scores for SUSD have trended four or more points higher than the national average. The school district also has a four-year high graduation rate of 91 percent – which is 13 percent higher than the state average.
PVUSD has a substantially higher-than-average graduation rate of 90 percent, which is a 10 percent increase since 2016. It has also received a 95 percent parent satisfaction rating in a recent satisfaction survey and continues to offer a wide range of premier programs.
SAAR, Phoenix REALTORS® and SEVRAR recommend that all residents Vote ‘YES’ on the SUSD Budget Override. SAAR and Phoenix REALTORS® also support the PVUSD Bond and Override. Mail-in voting begins Oct. 1 for all these Nov. 5, 2019 ballots.
