SAAR Ballot Positions: ( October 15, 2018 )
Suzanne Brown – Director of Community & Government Affairs, Scottsdale Area Association of REALTORS® (SAAR)
The 2018 General Elections are in full swing right now, and early ballots, which were mailed out this past Monday, Oct. 8th, should have arrived in citizen’s mailboxes by now. Voters have until November 2nd, to mail in their early ballots. If you are a registered voter, but not signed up for receiving an early mail-in ballot, you will be able to cast your VOTE on Election Day – Tuesday, November 6, 2018, at your locally designated polling place.
While there are many issues and candidate races to be decided on the ballot this year, here is a summary of the Scottsdale Area Association of REALTORS® (SAAR) endorsed local candidates and supported positions on the issues impacting the local real estate industry and private property rights.
The communities of Cave Creek, Carefree and Fountain Hills’ elections were settled back in the Primary Elections, held in August of this year. Which leaves the City of Scottsdale, as the remaining local community in SAAR’s jurisdiction, to weigh in on for the 2018 General Elections.

Each organization’s duty is to report the results of their research, professional assessment and resulting position on candidates and issues to their members and consumers as applicable on real estate issues, to assist them in obtaining a better understanding of the issue at hand and provide a trusted source of vetted information for making informed decisions.
As always, we encourage our members and the public to do their own due diligence in researching all the candidates and issues, but most of all, to get out and VOTE!
